MATERIAL DELIVERY
Machado Trucking & Aggregates supplies and delivers a wide variety of high-quality materials including stone, sand, soil, and more. The list below provides some basic information on some of the various materials we deliver, including examples of common uses for those materials. If you have questions about these products, or if what you’re looking for isn’t on this list, give us a call!
AVAILABLE MATERIALS
RC6 (Recycled Concrete)
Size - 1-inch down to fines (dust). Compacts well.
Uses - Commonly used as base material under concrete pads and foundations, asphalt, and pavers. Economical and green alternative to quarry stone, not for decorative landscape.
RC2 (Recycled Concrete)
Size – Mostly 1 ½ to 2 inches in size. Top size is 2 ½ inches and lower limit at about ½ inch
Uses - Erosion control, storm water infiltration pits, and drainage. Also commonly used for construction entrances, roadways or parking areas for trucks and equipment, as well as stabilization of muddy areas. Not for decorative landscape.
#57 Stone
Size – Mostly ½ inch to 1-inch, top size of 1 ½ inches and does not have fines. Does not compact well.
Uses - Driveways, septic fields, bedding for large pipes, filter stone, dry wells, concrete slab bedding and residential drainage.
#2 Stone
Size – Mostly 1 ½ to 2 inches in size. Top size is 2 ½ inches and lower limit at about ½ inch
Uses - Erosion control, storm water infiltration pits, and drainage. Also commonly used for construction entrances, roadways or parking areas for trucks or equipment, as well as stabilization of muddy areas.
#7 Stone
Size - Stone size is ½ - ¾ inch average
Uses - Commonly used for drainage purposes, septic tank lines, driveways, parking pads, and backfilling retaining walls.
#8 Stone
Size - Top size of ½ inch. Its small size makes it easier to handle compared to bulkier grade stone materials.
Uses - Utility pipe bedding, driveway topdressing, decorative purposes and walking paths, bedding for fuel and water tanks.
CR6 Stone
Size - Usually ¾ inch down to fines (dust). Compacts well.
Uses - Uses include sub-base for parking lots, roads and highways. Can be used for walkways, paver installation and select backfill.
Gabion Stone
Size - 3-6 inches or 4-7 inches depending on specific local manufacturer.
Uses - Erosion control, storm management ponds, bulkheads and slope protection. Also excellent for landscaping and stone walls.
Rip Rap
Size – Typical ranges are approximately 6-12 inches (Class 1), 12-18 inches (Class 2), and 18-24 inches (Class 3)

Concrete Sand
Size – Coarse grain sand
Uses - Concrete sand is a coarse aggregate that is most often used in ready-mix concrete. Other applications include backfilling, use as a base under pavers and mixing into soil.
Masonry Sand
Size - Fine grain sand
Uses - A smooth, fine sand that’s commonly used for masonry work and mixed into mortar, and also used for volleyball courts, sandboxes and pavers
Screened Millings
Size - 3/8 of an inch and smaller.
Uses - May be used to construct or repave needed roadway or vehicle use areas, such as parking lots and pot hole filling.
Pea Gravel
Size - 3/8-inch (pea sized) pebble-like stone
Uses - Drainage, pipe bedding, concrete slab bedding. Also used in walkways, dog runs, playgrounds, patios and other decorative landscaping applications.
Topsoil
Uses – The outermost upper layer of soil containing high concentrations of organic matter and microorganisms. Used for new builds (like lawns, garden beds, of replacing previously paved area with plants), areas affected by erosion, damaged and heavily used areas of lawns.
Fill Dirt
Uses – Site preparation, improving drainage, filling holes, leveling off embankments, raising areas of the ground, etc.
